Eagles Rodeo finishes up season at CNFR

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagle Rodeo team had three members qualify in the Team Roping event for the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming and competed June 15 to June 21, 2025.
NTCC was represented by Teyton Barton (Heeler) who was partnered with East Texas A&M University’s Garrett Freeman (Header), and the Eagle duo of Kelon Andrews (Header) and Hayden Sanders (Heeler) made up the Eagle qualifiers.

Board of Trustees holds June meeting
The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees held its regular meeting on Tuesday, June 24. This marked the first meeting under the leadership of NTCC's sixth president, Dr. Kevin Rose. The following is a summary of reports given and action that was taken at the June meeting:
Dwain and Linda Blount sponsor Work4College scholarship
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a donation from Dwain and Linda Blount of Mount Pleasant. Their gift will be used to sponsor a student in the Work4College Program. Pictured (from left) is Dwain, Linda and Mason May, Director of Work4College. There are currently 81 students participating in the summer Work4College Program. Assistant Baseball Coach/Assistant Housing Director

College closed July 4th
Northeast Texas Community College will be closed on Friday, July 4th in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The college will resume regular hours on Monday, July 7th.
Students may still access online courses, register, make payments and manage other college business at myeagle.ntcc.edu. The second 5-week summer session begins Monday, July 14th and students can still sign up for classes.
