Greenwood has earned multiple CMA and ACM Awards, a Grammy Award for Top Male Vocal Performance on I.O.U. in 1985, and several other industry honors. His discography includes 22 studio albums, seven No. 1 hits, and 38 charted singles, including It Turns Me Inside Out, Dixie Road, Somebody’s Gonna Love You, and I Don’t Mind the Thorns If You’re the Rose. His signature song, God Bless the U.S.A., remains one of the most recognized patriotic anthems in American music history. It reached the Top 5 on the country singles chart three times and entered the Billboard Hot 100 following the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
In addition to his music career, Greenwood has been honored with the Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s National Patriot’s Award and has participated in more than 30 USO tours entertaining U.S. troops.
