Dr. Doug and Kathy Richey recently pledged $5,400 to the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation as part of the college’s “$40 for 40 Years” campaign celebrating NTCC’s 40th anniversary.
The gift will provide emergency scholarships for students facing unexpected financial hardships that could otherwise prevent them from continuing their education. The Richeys are pictured at the check presentation with Nita May, Director of Development, and Dr. Jon McCullough, Executive Vice President for Advancement.
Join the legacy: NTCC Foundation ramps up "$40 for 40 Years" anniversary campaign
As Northeast Texas Community College wraps up its 40th anniversary celebration, the NTCC Foundation is inviting supporters to become part of the college’s lasting legacy through the “$40 for 40 Years” campaign.
Individuals who contribute at least $40 by Aug. 31 will have their names permanently included on a commemorative donor wall that will be installed outside of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Gifts may be designated to any NTCC scholarship, program, or purpose chosen by the donor.
Board of Trustees holds May meeting

The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees met for its regular May meeting on Tuesday, May 26th. Chairman Robin Sharp opened the meeting with a special presentation honoring Stephanie Thurman for seven years of service on the board.
Continuing Education hosts OSHA training for Summit Mechanical
On Friday, May 22nd, Northeast Texas Community College Continuing Education hosted a six-hour OSHA training for 10 employees from Summit Mechanical of Paris, Texas.
The training focused on workplace safety awareness and OSHA standards, helping participants strengthen their knowledge of safe work practices and jobsite compliance. NTCC appreciates Summit Mechanical’s commitment to employee safety and ongoing workforce development.

Teach dual credit sections in the Agriculture discipline as assigned.
Experience and Other Qualifications Required:
Masters Degree in Agriculture or equivalent that includes 18 graduate hours in Agriculture required.
At least three years secondary teaching experience preferred.

MLT, MA programs accepting applications for Fall 2026
Northeast Texas Community College is currently accepting applications for its Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) and Medical Assistant (MA) programs for Fall 2026. Both programs offer hands-on training and strong job prospects in the growing healthcare field.

NTCC receives $275,416 JET grant from Texas Workforce Commission

Northeast Texas Community College recently received a $275,416 Jobs and Education for Texans (JET) grant from the Texas Workforce Commission to support the college’s nursing program and help train the next generation of registered nurses in Northeast Texas.
