Mount Pleasant Community Fund gives $4,000 for emergency scholarships

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a check for $4,000 from Jerry Hearron on behalf of the Mount Pleasant Community Fund. Pictured at the check presentation (from left) is Hearron and Nita May, NTCC Director of Development. The donation was made through the NTCC Foundation’s “$40 for 40 Years” campaign, which commemorates the college’s four decades of service to the community.

Taste of NTCC is April 28th - get your tickets today!

The NTCC Foundation is excited to announce that Taste of NTCC: Battle of the Booths is back by popular demand! In celebration of East Texas Giving Day, the event will be held on Tuesday, April 28th, in the Student Union Building (SUB) from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The NTCC campus and general public are all invited to participate!

NTCC Driver’s Ed hits the road

In March, Continuing Education launched its first Driver’s Education course. Eight students, along with instructor Dolanda Lockett, completed 32 hours of classroom instruction and are now officially hitting the road for their first week of behind-the-wheel training. Each student will log 7 hours of driving time and 7 hours of in-car observation.

Interest in this course has been building since last fall, and Continuing Education is excited to offer this opportunity to both teens and adults in our community.

Catalyst 2026 brought together thousands of Phi Theta Kappa members, advisors, and supporters in Baltimore, Maryland, to celebrate the achievements of chapters from the United States and ten other nations. The three-day convention was a whirlwind of inspiration, academic recognition, and historic milestones for Northeast Texas Community College.

The Executive Director of Human Resources provides college-wide leadership for all aspects of the Human Resources functions including employment opportunities, recruitment and staffing of positions, employment compensation and benefits and payroll procedures. The director is responsible for interpreting and ensuring compliance with federal and state rules and regulations. The director is also responsible for implementing fair hiring and employment practices in accordance with institution policies and procedures.
