Northeast Texas Community College baseball is celebrating an impressive list of postseason honors, as the Eagles earned multiple All-Region XIV and Region XIV North Conference recognitions following a standout season.
Kilgore College will soon host a Day Basic Peace Officer Course on the campus of Northeast Texas Community College, offering a local pathway for individuals interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement.
The 775-hour course is scheduled to begin June 29, with a mandatory orientation set for June 23 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Classes will typically meet Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with some evening and nighttime training required. The program generally takes five to six months to complete.

Adam Richards was recently named the winner of the 2026 Elizabeth Chitsey Award, granted each year to the student of Honors Northeast who most exceeded expectations during their first year at NTCC. The award comes with a $200 check.
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $500 donation from Dwain and Linda Blount of Mount Pleasant. Their gift will be used to sponsor a student in the 2026 Work4College Program. The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $50,000 gift from the Carroll Shelby Foundation. The funds provided scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic year for students in the Carroll Shelby Automotive Institute.

Brenda Godoy, a Mount Pleasant native, began her journey at Northeast Texas Community College as a first-generation college student, drawn by its affordability, close-knit support system, and strong mentorship. With guidance from faculty and encouragement from her family, she built a strong academic foundation that led to her transfer as a Jack Kent Cooke Scholar to Texas A&M University, where she earned a degree in Biochemistry in 2020.
