Northeast Texas Community College will host three spring commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 11th in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. This is the largest class ever at NTCC, with almost 450 students graduating! Ceremonies will be as follows:
The Medical Assistant (MA) Program at Northeast Texas Community College has extended its deadline for the 2024-2025 academic year! Prospective students now have through Friday, July 19th to apply. Applications and information are available at www.ntcc.edu/medassist.

This NTCC FFA Land, Forage, Forestry and Homesite is an area competition event that is held each year at the NTCC Whatley Agriculture Complex for all area FFA Chapters in Area 6. The Ag Department and Ag Club set up all of the competition sites including the forestry at our own Nita May’s home.

Alison Averie Majors was recently named the winner of the 2024 Chitsey Award, granted each year to the student of Honors Northeast who most exceeded expectations during their first year at NTCC. The award comes with a $200 check.

Dr. Chris McAllister (NTCC-Biology) and his independent study students, George Burrows and Michael Rodriguez, visited the Fountain Spring House of the Ouachita Mountains Biological Station on April 25-28 near Mena, Arkansas, to conduct their ongoing research on vertebrate parasites.
The Student Services team at Northeast Texas Community College was pleased to host a Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, April 30th in collaboration with Texas A&M University-Texarkana. Scholarships for NTCC students who have applied and been accepted to attend TAMU-T were awarded on the recommendation of their NTCC College Navigator. NTCC College Navigators chose students from their assigned cohorts who they had worked closely with to assist in the pursuit of their Associates Degree while at NTCC.
The Northeast Texas Community College Taste of NTCC: Battle of the Booths event was a huge success! Ten booths served up a variety of delicious dishes for sampling by a large crowd of students, faculty, staff and community members. The event raised almost $2,400 that was split evenly between the participating clubs and organizations.
Each ticket holder was able to cast votes for their favorite booths. The winners of the People’s Choice awards were as follows:
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation finished East Texas Giving Day 2024 at the top of the leaderboard for the third year in a row this Tuesday. NTCC raised a whopping $255,534 via the annual fundraising event that has become a regional tradition.
