Alpha Mu Chi makes history at Catalyst 2026

Catalyst 2026 brought together thousands of Phi Theta Kappa members, advisors, and supporters in Baltimore, Maryland, to celebrate the achievements of chapters from the United States and ten other nations. The three-day convention was a whirlwind of inspiration, academic recognition, and historic milestones for Northeast Texas Community College.

The Director of Human Resources provides college-wide leadership for all aspects of the Human Resources functions including employment opportunities, recruitment and staffing of positions, employment compensation and benefits and payroll procedures. The director is responsible for interpreting and ensuring compliance with federal and state rules and regulations. The director is also responsible for implementing fair hiring and employment practices in accordance with institution policies and procedures.

Work4College program redefines access, affordability, and workforce readiness

At Northeast Texas Community College, an innovative program is reshaping how rural students access and succeed in higher education—while offering a model that could be replicated nationwide.

The Work4College Program combines early college exposure, structured employment, and financial support into a single, integrated pathway. Students can begin participating as early as the summer after their sophomore year of high school, gaining meaningful work experience on campus while building a financial foundation for college.

One completes Professional Driving Program

The Northeast Texas Community College Professional Driving Academy continues to grow and supply high-demand CDL drivers to the local area.  One student recently graduated from the program.

The four-week professional driving academy includes 160 hours of training and the cost includes the DOT physical, drug screen, MVR and CDL permit.  Students spend 50 hours in the classroom and 110 hours on the road driving.  The cost is $4,500 and financial aid may be available.
