For the nineteenth-straight year in a row, Cypress Bank has presented a high-end laptop for the use of a Northeast Texas Community College honors student. This year’s Cypress Bank Scholar is Geraldine Zermeno, who graduated from Mount Pleasant High School last spring. She was the first to apply to join honors at NTCC for the year 2026-2027 and is focused on nursing.
Cypress Bank Assistant Vice President, Hernan L. Mata, presented Zermeno with this gift (pictured). Cypress Bank has five locations: the main bank is in Pittsburg; two are in Mount Pleasant. The two other branches are in Commerce, and Lone Star.
