Northeast Texas Community College recently received a new passenger bus made possible through a generous grant from the Moody Foundation in support of the college’s Work4College program.
The new bus will provide transportation for a variety of student educational experiences, including workforce and industry visits, cultural and enrichment opportunities, and other college-sponsored activities. In addition to supporting Work4College, the bus will serve students across the college through academic programs, student organizations, athletics, and other campus activities.
“We are extremely grateful to the Moody Foundation for their investment in our students,” said Dr. Jon McCullough, NTCC Executive Vice President for Advancement. “This bus gives us another way to get students beyond the classroom and provide experiences that can have a real impact on their education and future careers.”
The bus is one component of the Moody Foundation’s broader support of Work4College, NTCC’s innovative program that provides students the opportunity to work on campus in exchange for assistance with the cost of attending college.
