Hope Ministries

Mt. Pleasant, Texas-based Hope Ministries is a community-based program. They serve to give single women with children the tools they need to break the poverty cycle. As a result, they provide single mothers with children with the opportunity to experience life transformation in a loving, Christian community where they can obtain an education, restore their identity, find emotional healing, and create lasting change (in both their own and their children's lives) as they work toward self-sufficiency.

SAFE T Shelter

SAFE-T Crisis Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that began serving domestic violence and sexual assault victims in East Texas in 1994. With four offices, one shelter, one safe house, and a thrift store, SAFE-T now serves nine counties. They provide advocacy and education, and they work to create an environment where violence, abuse, and oppression are not tolerated. They also provide assistance to help survivors heal.

Rhute Haven

Rhute's mission is to establish relationships with those in need around our city, surround them with a loving environment, and give them with healthy options as they try to rebuild their lives. One of the key ways they get to know men and women on the streets of Mount Pleasant is via thier weekly community lunches. Regardless of holidays or weather, they will serve every week. Families, churches, small groups, teams, and corporations are always needed to serve a lunch each week. 

Mount Pleasant Housing Authority

Mount Pleasant Housing Authority provides low-income families and individuals with high-quality, affordable apartments through the effective and efficient administration of housing assistance programs, as well as the creation and cultivation of opportunities for program participants to achieve self-sufficiency and economic independence.

Expectant Heart

Pregnancy tests, educational seminars, career training, spiritual encouragement for them and their families through support groups, one-on-one advocacy aid, and transitional housing for expecting families are all available at the Expectant Heart Pregnancy Resource Center.

Dangerfield WIC

WIC, or the Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, is a nutrition program for pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as families with children under the age of five. WIC can assist you in purchasing many of the healthy foods that are currently on your shopping list. The WIC items in your monthly food box are low in fat, high in fiber, and help you acquire critical nutrients while also encouraging you to maintain a healthy weight. You'll still have to buy some food (or formula) on your own, but we'll do everything we can to assist you.
