The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Baseball team is selling old jerseys for $50. They have white, grey and navy versions in limited quantities. Karoline Y Guerra wins Dr. Alexander Villalobos Award
A freshman from Pittsburg is the winner of the Dr. Alexander Villalobos Award. This $50 prize goes to a top essay in the non-honors division of NTCC concerning the history of health and medicine. Guerra’s essay was entitled “The Death of Death: The Revolution in Hygiene in the early Nineteenth Century.”
NTCC Board holds December meeting
The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees met Tuesday, Dec. 14 for its regular monthly meeting. Molly Abele, CPA with the firm Axley & Rode, gave the annual presentation of the college’s independent audit.
Santa says...register for classes!
The NTCC Student Services building had a special visitor this week as Santa himself stopped by for a quick visit. Kenzie Messer, Enrollment Management Coordinator, had the honor of sitting down with him for a chat. Kenzie and Santa both agree...sign up for spring today! Classes start January 18. NTCC offers free GED, ESL classes
The Adult Education Department at Northeast Texas Community College is accepting new and returning students for its GED (General Educational Development) and ESL (English as a Second Language) programs. Those interested in participating in either of these free educational programs should call to make an appointment for registration beginning January 3, 2022. While classes are offered in various convenient locations around the area, all registration will be held at the Community Resource Center (formerly MPISD Administration Building) at 105 N.
Pharmacy Tech program accepting applications
The Continuing Education Department at Northeast Texas Community College is currently accepting applications for its Pharmacy Technician program. Classes for the one-semester program begin January 18.

NTCC to close for holiday break
Northeast Texas Community College will be closed beginning Monday, Dec. 20 for the holiday break. Offices will reopen on Monday, Jan. 3. The Spring 2022 semester starts on Tuesday, Jan. 18.
Students are welcome to apply/register online during the break at www.ntcc.edu. You can also use the NTCC Chat Bot to answer most common questions.

Northeast Texas Community College celebrated December 2021 commencement on Friday, Dec. 10. The ceremony was held at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. There were 135 graduates who earned a combined 99 degrees and 62 certificates of competency. The event was streamed live on YouTube and Facebook.
