Connor is a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University where he also served as an assistant coach upon his graduation. Coach Anderson came to NTCC from TCS Post Grad Academy in McKinney, Texas.

The Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo team will travel to Sulphur Springs, Texas on February 3-4 for the Texas A&M University-Commerce Rodeo at the Hopkins County Civic Center.

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagle Softball team started the Spring Season off by traveling to Marshall, Texas to scrimmage East Texas Baptist University on Friday. The scrimmage was moved up from Saturday to Friday to try to beat the weather.
NTCC Foundation scholarship applications are officially open for the 2023-2024 academic year. Anyone who plans to attend NTCC for the Fall 2023 semester should consider applying online at www.ntcc.edu/scholarships. Applications are due March 20th.
The Northeast Texas Community College EMS Program recently went through their re-accreditation process with the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) which included an intensive self-study process and a site visit by CAAHEP surveyors. We are pleased to announce that our EMS Program was granted the full 5 year re-accreditation from CAAHEP.
The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College is pleased to announce that it will host a benefit piano concert by NTCC President Dr. Ron Clinton on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students. All proceeds from the concert will directly benefit the NTCC Foundation.
Time is running out to get your tickets for The Texas Tenors at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts! They will perform on Friday, Feb. 3rd at 7:30 p.m. Limited tickets are available for purchase online at www.whatleycenter.com or by calling the box office at 903-434-8181.
An NTCC Funeral Service graduate was recently featured in the December issue of Texas Director, a trade publication for those in the funeral services industry. Steven D. Spruiells, of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, graduated from NTCC in December 2022. The following is an excerpt from the article:
…As a student in the NTCC Mortuary Program, he said he had been most surprised about how much he didn’t know about the profession, and what he has learned, is eager to help funeral service move forward in a way that will bring a positive light to the industry.
If you’ve been wondering about the big trash receptacles in front of the old Physical Fitness Annex (PFA) this week or all the digging around it last fall, wonder no more. The digging was to repair an issue with water in the building and the trash receptacles were for cleaning out old items being stored in the building. This work is in preparation to repurpose the PFA building into a new Health Simulation Center!
Expect to see more workers, construction trucks/equipment, etc. at the site in the coming months as we remodel the building.

For their performance in the fall of 2022 in challenging honors seminars at NTCC in relation to their peers, two Presidential Scholars will win $100 checks. Sophomore Skylar Fondren, president of the honors student council, obtained the highest combined grade in the Humusic Seminar. Neida Perez, a recently promoted phenomenon of the BioTex Seminar, scored the highest among first-year scholars.
