Cypress Bank provides honors student with laptop

Submitted by Dr. Andrew Yox, Honors Director For the eleventh straight year since 2008, Cypress Bank has presented a high-end MacBook laptop for the use of Northeast Texas Community College honors students.  This year’s recipient is Miguel Paco.  He is a recent graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and Presidential Scholar at NTCC, who has been active in Honors and Alpha Mu Chi activities.  Paco majors in physics. Cypress Bank, has four locations, in Mount Pleasant, Pittsburg, Lone Star and Commerce. Above, Barry L.

Student survey winners announced

All students enrolled at NTCC were invited to complete a national survey (The Student Financial Wellness Survey) to document the financial well-being of our students and how it impacts their ability to successfully achieve their college goals.  Three students who completed the survey were randomly selected to receive a $100 gift card to the NTCC College Store.  The students are Hannah Fouche (right) and Michelle Solo (center), and Janet Johnson (not pictured).

Come cheer on your nationally-ranked men's soccer team Oct. 27

For the sixth year in a row, the Eagles women's soccer team has finished top four in a tough Region 14 and made playoffs. The Eagles finished the regular season with a record of 8-7-1 and in fourth place in Region 14. The women's team ended the season in a loss to Tyler Junior College in the Region 14 Semi-Final matchup on October 25. NTCC's nationally ranked men’s soccer team will host a Regional Semifinal game Saturday, Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. versus Laredo Community College.
