Richard and Margaret Perryman give $2,750 to NTCC Work Scholarship Program

Richard and Margaret Perryman recently gave $2,750 to support the Northeast Texas Community College Work Scholarship Program. Specifically, they sponsored a luncheon that is held at the end of each summer to recognize work scholarship students, supervisors and donors. Al and Sue Havenstrite give $5,000 for scholarships

Al and Sue Havenstrite recently gave $5,000 to support scholarships at Northeast Texas Community College. All funds given to scholarship endowments will be matched dollar-for-dollar through the Title V grant program, doubling the contribution. Five NTCC students named Jack Kent Cooke Foundation scholarship semi-finalists

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation recently named five students at Northeast Texas Community College as semi-finalists for their highly competitive and elite Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship. Alicia Cantrell, Brenda Godoy, Rachel Jordan, Adriana Rodriquez and Cassidy Watkins were included in the list.

Their applications were among more than 2,800 submitted by students across the nation. Only 20 percent of applicants made it to semifinalist status.

Board appoints Ron Clinton as President of NTCC

The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees met Monday for its regular December meeting. The board unanimously voted to appoint Dr. Ron Clinton as president of the college and approved a†four-year†contract for the position.

Clinton was named the sole finalist for president at a special-called meeting November 15. Per state law, the board was required to post notice of hiring a president for 21 days before officially taking action to complete the appointment.

Four Northeast Texas Community College students learned yesterday that they are semi-finalists for the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship. Alicia Cantrell, Brenda Godoy, Adriana Rodriguez and Cassidy Watkins were all named for the honor.†Finalists will receive a scholarship worth $40,000 for up to three years - a $120,000 value!
