The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a donation of $10,000 from the Stevenson family of Gilmer. The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, August 27th. The NTCC women's soccer team started strong against traditional powerhouse Richland JC on Friday night in Dallas. The Eagles kept pace with the Thunderducks scoring off of a free-kick to keep the score close throughout much of the first half.  The Eagles could not get over the hump despite making it a contest in the first half and keeping the score a respectable 3-1. Eventually, the Thunderducks would round into form and put the game away in the 2nd half, taking home a 7-1 victory in the season opener for both clubs...

The Northeast Texas Community College Business Club recently had the opportunity to see business principles at work in the real world on a travel study trip to Boston. Vanessajane Bayna of Mount Pleasant has become the 2024-25 Texas Heritage National Bank (THNB) Scholar of NTCC. The $3,000 scholarship provided by the bank again goes this year to the top-rated Presidential Scholar of the NTCC Honors Program. Bayna has had a perfect record in some of the college’s most rigorous chemistry and physics courses while winning a 2024 state Caldwell Award in history for her work on oil and politics in Texas last spring in College Station...

The Continuing Education and Corporate Training department at Northeast Texas Community College has launched a new Conversational Spanish series, which began on Monday, August 26th with Beginner. The course, instructed by Iris Olbert, is designed to help community members enhance their Spanish-speaking skills in a practical, engaging way. Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from August 26th through September 18th at the local Super Bueno grocery store, providing a convenient and familiar location for participants...

Welcome home, Eagles! Northeast Texas Community College teamed up with the NTCC Baptist Student Ministry (BSM) this week to host a free cookout lunch for housing residents and their families on move-in day.
