The Northeast Texas Community College Men’s Soccer team defeated Paris Junior College 5-0 on Saturday, October 22nd to earn a trip to the National Junior College Athletic Association playoffs. Goalie Enzo Camps (France) came up big with 7 saves in the win.

The Adult Education Department at Northeast Texas Community College is accepting new and returning students for its GED (General Educational Development) and ESL (English as a Second Language) programs.

The NTCC Carroll Shelby Student Auto Club is having a fund-raising chili cook-off to honor Carroll Shelby’s 100th birthday.  All monies will go to support the club’s activities.

The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees met for its regular December meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 13th.

Northeast Texas Community College recently learned that it is the recipient of a $3 million Title V grant from the U.S. Department of Education. Title V grants are highly competitive and NTCC was one of only 78 higher educational institutions to receive the award in 2022.

A recent issue of the Harvard Business Review, the psychology of child development, and the author of the recent book, How to Avoid Death by PowerPoint, are all in agreement. Stories are powerful. Studies show that humans have a very active and positive hormonal response to good stories, and that stories are an exemplary way to promote memory and engagement in learning.
