NTCC Foundation scholarship applications are officially open for the 2023-2024 academic year. Anyone who plans to attend NTCC for the Fall 2023 semester should consider applying online at www.ntcc.edu/scholarships. Applications are due March 20th. 

This week's installment of Meet the Coaches brings us to Assistant Baseball Coach Connor Anderson: Connor is a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University where he also served as an assistant coach upon his graduation. Coach Anderson came to NTCC from TCS Post Grad Academy in McKinney, Texas.

Those interested in learning more about cutting-edge issues relating to the history of modern Texas are welcome to a free Lunch & Learn at the Mount Pleasant Library, Thursday, 23 February, 12:20-1:20 p.m.  The series of presentations will occur in the library’s community room, with free pizza, salad, drinks, and dessert to all who RSVP with Dr. Andrew Yox at ayox@ntcc.edu by 5 p.m. on 22 February.

The Northeast Texas Community College Eagle Softball team started the Spring Season off by traveling to Marshall, Texas to scrimmage East Texas Baptist University on Friday. The scrimmage was moved up from Saturday to Friday to try to beat the weather.

Experiencing different environments often inspires one to try new ideas.  Thus, for the students of Honors Northeast, a travel tradition begun in 2008 continued as they visited a major city, in this case, Dallas, Friday, 27 September.

If you’ve been wondering about the big trash receptacles in front of the old Physical Fitness Annex (PFA) this week or all the digging around it last fall, wonder no more. The digging was to repair an issue with water in the building and the trash receptacles were for cleaning out old items being stored in the building.

The Northeast Texas Community College EMS Program recently went through their re-accreditation process with the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College is pleased to announce that it will host a benefit piano concert by NTCC President Dr. Ron Clinton on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 2:30 p.m.

An NTCC Funeral Service graduate was recently featured in the December issue of Texas Director, a trade publication for those in the funeral services industry. Steven D. Spruiells, of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, graduated from NTCC in December 2022.
