Northeast Texas Community College can proctor your computer based Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ)- Computer Based Testing (CBT). Applicants passing the exam will be issued their license by TCEQ typically within one week of the exam date.
It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure they have received an approval letter prior to requesting an appointment.

The following is required for TCEQ Exams:
- Testing is by appointment only (903) 434-8272.
- $30.00 proctoring fee
- A valid/current picture ID is required for all exams
Online testing benefits:
- Immediate exam score with email option
- Immediate printed exam analysis feedback with email option
- Candidates can retake the test once right away, without leaving the facility, if they fail the first time. However, for any further attempts, they must come back on a different day. If the candidate indicates they want to take advantage of this option, the center should schedule enough time for the immediate retest, and they may charge an additional fee for the immediate retest. If the candidate chooses this option, they are instructed to contact the test proctor. The proctor will log in to STEERS again and download the CBT application. If the candidate is not eligible for a retest the application will not allow him/her to continue. A candidate may not attempt a test more than twice on the same day. For example, if a candidate fails their first and second attempt and requests attempting their third test for which they are still eligible, they must make arrangements to return to the testing center another day.
