NTCC college rodeo planned for October 9-11
The annual Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo will return to the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Grounds October 9–11, 2025. You won’t want to miss the chance to see NTCC Eagles Rodeo athletes go up against some of the top competitors in the Southern Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.
Save the Date: 40th Anniversary Community Picnic is Oct. 4th
Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) is turning 40, and the community is invited to join the party! Since welcoming its first students in 1985, NTCC has proudly served the region for four decades. To celebrate, the college is hosting a 40th Anniversary Community Picnic on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the main campus plaza near the Eagles Nest Pavilion.

Young players shine at NTCC Eagles Baseball camp
The Northeast Texas Community College Eagles Baseball team welcomed about 30 young athletes to campus last weekend for a fun-filled kids camp. Youth ages 5-12 had the opportunity to learn baseball fundamentals, practice their skills, and play alongside NTCC players.

I graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1988. At that time, students in the top 10% of their class were given the incredible opportunity to attend NTCC tuition-free until they completed an associate’s degree. My parents encouraged me to take advantage of this, especially since I had a vision condition that brought financial and medical challenges for my family. Though I was initially frustrated—since many of my friends were heading straight to four-year universities—I agreed to visit NTCC.

- Support students throughout their academic journey by assisting with financial aid and reconciliation, guiding them through admissions and enrollment processes, serving as the main contact for veterans’ education benefits, and providing help with registration, FERPA, orientation, degree audits, and online enrollment.
- Other tasks as needed.
