Four students complete NTCC Professional Driving Academy

The Northeast Texas Community College Professional Driving Academy continues to grow and supply high-demand CDL drivers to the local area. Four new students recently graduated from the program. Transfer fair planned for February 22

NTCC is proud to announce Transfer Fair Day for our students.

You are invited to participate in our Transfer Fair on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Northeast Texas Community College in the Student Union Building. 

The Transfer Fair event will give the universities an opportunity to present information on the different degrees that are offered at their location. Click here to view of video of participating universities.

Honors Northeast accepting applications through March 1

Honors Northeast is now accepting applications for the 2022-23 school year. 1 March is the deadline for obtaining an optimal scholarship.  The program confers institutional and private scholarships, as well as many other amenities. Over half of the students in the program earn as they learn. Scholarships outrace the costs of matriculation.

Forever Motown comes to Whatley Center Feb. 18

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College will host a concert by Forever Motown on Friday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. This is a full stage production of your favorite hit songs from all the Motown Legends.  

Direct from New York, the show stars Theo Peoples, Former Lead Singer of The Temptations and The Four Tops, Glenn Leonard, former Lead Singer of The Temptations and Traci Robinson former lead singer of The Marvelettes with an All-Star live band.

PTK chapter documentary on local black history available to stream

Alpha Mu Chi, a chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society at Northeast Texas Community College, recently completed a yearlong Honors in Action project.  “Finally Free: Folklore Becomes Legacy” is half-hour documentary featuring the voices, stories, and legacies of our African American community members.   The documentary can be found at https://youtu.be/2BGfKK39Kfg.

Gateway Bronco gives $5,000 for Shelby Automotive scholarships

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $5,000 gift from Gateway Bronco. The funds will be used to provide scholarships for students in NTCC’s Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Program.
