German class enjoys cultural meal

Students in German 1311 learned German table customs in class today: saying ?Guten Appetit!? to fellow diners, or lifting your glass & saying ?Prost!? Germans, like other Europeans, eat with the fork in the left hand and the knife in the right hand,†and don?t switch back†and forth like Americans; and they don?t put ice cubes in their drinks. Of course it was more fun to practice with real food!

New Mathways Project underway at NTCC

The New Mathways Project (NMP) is all about student success in achieving career goals. The program is a statewide effort that provides opportunity for students to enroll in a college-level statistics course in only one semester. To be eligible, students must qualify for enrollment in developmental mathematics at the level of beginning algebra or above. Eighteen students are currently enrolled in the two New Mathways courses this fall.

Women's Soccer headed to playoffs

The Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) Women?s Eagles Soccer†team†is headed to the Region 14 Tournament with a record of 8-6. The Lady Eagles? first playoff game will be on Thursday, Oct. 30 at Navarro. The Women split their games last week, picking up a victory against Paris Junior College and dropping their game against Hill college.
