December commencement photos, videos available

 

Northeast Texas Community College celebrated December 2021 commencement on Friday, Dec. 10. The ceremony was held at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. There were 135 graduates who earned a combined 99 degrees and 62 certificates of competency. The event was streamed live on YouTube and Facebook. African-American History II offered in spring

Need a history course for your degree? Consider taking HIST 2382 African-American History II. It meets the Core Curriculum requirement for United States History.  HIST 2382 covers the period from Reconstruction to the present, the same time period and events as covered in HIST 1302, but with some more colorful stories! EMS offering new shift-based paramedic course

Are you a working EMT interested in becoming a certified Paramedic? Northeast Texas Community College is offering a convenient hybrid shift-based Paramedic Course (DSHS # 617988).

“There is a serious shortage of paramedics in our area and NTCC is hoping to help fill that gap. We know it is difficult for practicing EMTs to continue their education due to shift work schedules. This program is designed specifically with them in mind,” Russell VanBibber, NTCC EMS Faculty, said.

Automotive receives two restored Shelby convertibles

The Carroll Shelby Automotive Program at Northeast Texas Community College added two “new” Mustangs to its stable this week. On Monday they took delivery of a pair of 1968 Shelbys donated by Barry Smith of Legendary GT in Blair County, Pennsylvania. Though both the same model year and convertibles, one is a GT350 (white) and the other a GT 500KR (black).
