Ernie Haase and Signature Sound bring Broadway to NTCC

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College will host Ernie Haase & Signature Sound (EH&SS) on its stage Friday, Jan. 23 at 7:30 p.m. The group, which rose to fame in the Gospel community touring with The Gaithers, will bring their The Inspiration of Broadway show for the NTCC audience.

"Those who follow Gospel music will likely be familiar with Ernie Haase & Signature Sound. This is a great opportunity to experience their amazing vocal talent in a slightly different format," Carolyn Franks, Director of the Whatley Center, said.

Theatre Northeast to present children's play

Theatre Northeast is set to present the ?Hilarious Fractured Fairy Tale,"†Once Upon A Wolf†by Steph DeFerie at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College. The show will be performed Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. and there will be a 2:05 p.m. matinee on Dec. 7. This marks the 24th year that Theatre Northeast has presented an annual Christmas season children?s play.

Cypress Bank sponsors Vicki Lawrence performance

Cypress Bank recently gave $3,000 to sponsor the upcoming Vicki Lawrence performance at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College. Building 429 to play at Whatley Center

† † † Grammy nominated Christian rock group Building 429 will perform at the†Northeast Texas Community College campus in the Whatley Center for the†Performing Arts on October 19 at 6:30 p.m. The Whatley Center is bringing†the band's†We Won't Be Shaken†Tour to Mount Pleasant. The tour is named†for the band's eighth album, which was nominated for the 2014 Best†Contemporary Christian Music Album Grammy award in January.





Let's Hang On to perform at Whatley Center

Let?s Hang On will perform at the Northeast Texas Community College campus in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on October 11 at 7:30 p.m. Billed as the nation's most popular Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons Tribute show, you will hear the story of these blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks who wrote their own songs, invented their own sound, and took the world by storm all before the age of 30.

Larry Gatlin to perform at the Whatley April 5

In 2008, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers performed on the Northeast Texas Community College campus before a packed house at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Gatlin will return for an encore with an intimate, solo acoustic performance on April 5 at 7:30 p.m.

This unplugged concert will feature Gatlin telling stories about his life through multimedia presentations and songs from his childhood.
