The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees met for a public hearing and its regular August Meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 23. A reception was held before the meeting to honor Frankie King, who retired from the board in May. King, of Camp County, served from 2019-2022 in Place One. King was presented with a plaque commemorating his service.
Northeast Texas Community College Athletics is moving to digital tickets for the upcoming 2022-2023 sports seasons. In an effort to help our fan experience, Eagle Athletics is now working with Hometown Tickets to provide online ticket sales.

The NTCC Eagle Food Pantry announced this week that it will be open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:00-5:30 p.m. throughout the fall semester. The pantry is located in the CARE Center in IA 105.
The pantry offers an assortment of fresh, canned, and packaged foods for current NTCC students and their families. Students can access our pantry once a month by presenting their current student ID.

The safety and security of students, faculty and staff is a top priority at Northeast Texas Community College. In the event of a campus emergency, NTCC will send Eagle Alerts via text, voice and e-mail through the IRIS dispatch system. Alerts are automatically sent to the contact information listed in the student or employee account on the myEagle Portal. The NTCC Computer Services team is urging the campus community to stay vigilant to avoid cyber-attacks. Recently, NTCC has seen a dramatic increase in the number of spam and spear phishing e-mails sent to college accounts. According to Sebastian Barron, Director of Computer Services and Enterprise Systems, hackers are becoming increasingly sophisticated in their efforts to lure people to provide sensitive information.

Northeast Texas Community College Women’s and Men’s Soccer teams returned to campus on August 10th to begin preparing for the upcoming season. Recently promoted Head Coaches, Heather Brady will oversee the Women’s program and Juan (JD) Perales will oversee the Men’s program.
