Mt. Pleasant Community Scholarship

For 2023 & 2024 graduates of Mount Pleasant and Chapel Hill High School

Due Date is First Class Day of Fall Semester

The Mt. Pleasant Community Scholarship is provided by a local non-profit organization to assist graduates of Mount Pleasant and Chapel Hill High Schools with the costs of earning an education.

  1. Students must graduate in 2023 or 2024 from Mt. Pleasant High School or Chapel Hill High School.
  2. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility. Students who do not complete the FAFSA will not be eligible for the scholarship.
  3. Students who are eligible for full Federal Student Aid will not be eligible for this scholarship.
  4. Students who are not eligible for Federal Student Aid may be eligible for the following:
    •  Students graduating in the top 10% - the scholarship will cover resident tuition and fees for up to 12 hours.
    •  All remaining students – the scholarship will cover resident tuition for up to 12 hours. Students will be required to pay fees.
  5. Students who are eligible for partial Federal Student Aid may be eligible for a partial scholarship to be determined by the scholarship office.
  6. Students taking more than 12 hours will be responsible for all additional tuition and fees and should check with the NTCC Business office for financing options. Students deemed eligible for the scholarship, but taking fewer than 12 hours, will receive an adjusted scholarship based on the number of hours taken.
  7. The scholarship is for Fall and Spring semesters only and is subject to change on a yearly basis.
