The due date is the First Class Day of the Fall Semester
This scholarship is exclusively for 2025 Daingerfield High School graduates thanks to the generosity of a privately funded grant.
The scholarship will cover resident tuition and fees for up to 15 hours per semester for ALL 2025 Daingerfield High School graduates attending NTCC in the fall semester of 2025.
Example based on 2024-25 tuition and fees: Total resident tuition and fees for a student taking 15 hours is $1,859.00.
2025-26 SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
- Students must be a 2025 graduate of Daingerfield High School.
- Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility. Students who do not complete the FAFSA will not be eligible for the scholarship. www.fafsa.gov
- Student must write a one-page Thank You letter addressed to members of the Daingerfield Community Scholarship Fund. Please include in the Thank You letter what this scholarship will mean to you.
- Students who are eligible for full Federal Student Aid (FASFA) will not be eligible for this scholarship.
- Students who are eligible for partial Federal Student Aid (FASFA) may be eligible for a partial scholarship to be determined by the scholarship office.
- Students taking more than 15 credit hours will be responsible for any additional tuition and fees.
- Student must attend Northeast Texas Community College in the fall semester after high school graduation and consecutive semesters thereafter.
- The scholarship is for fall and spring semesters only and ends after two consecutive years (four total semesters).
- To maintain eligibility, students must enroll in and complete a minimum of 9 credit hours per semester.
Scholarship Application Tips
- Your application is not submitted until the status in the scholarship application (AwardSpring) shows "completed." Make sure you don't have any items that are still "in progress."
- You must attach your most recent high school transcript that shows your expected graduation date.
- Your essay should be at least a paragraph in length, answer all questions, and be free of errors.
Scholarship guidelines are subject to change on a yearly basis.
Please note: Some programs have differential fees or special course fees. These fees, along with the cost of books, are not covered under the scholarship and are the responsibility of the student. Please check with the NTCC Business Office for additional financing options if needed.
