The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a generous $3,000 donation from the Cypress Basin Master Gardeners to support student scholarships. The gift, made as part of East Texas Giving Day contributions, will benefit area students pursuing degrees in agriculture or related fields and will also sponsor a Work4College student.
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a check for $4,000 from Jerry Hearron on behalf of the Mount Pleasant Community Fund. The donation was made through the NTCC Foundation’s “$40 for 40 Years” campaign, which commemorates the college’s four decades of service to the community.
Northeast Texas Community College art students are earning recognition at the state level after participating in a highly competitive juried exhibit hosted by the Texas Association of Schools of Art (TASART).
The NTCC Foundation is excited to announce that Taste of NTCC: Battle of the Booths is back by popular demand! In celebration of East Texas Giving Day, the event will be held on Tuesday, April 28th, in the Student Union Building (SUB) from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The NTCC campus and general public are all invited to participate!

In March, Continuing Education launched its first Driver’s Education course. Eight students, along with instructor Dolanda Lockett, completed 32 hours of classroom instruction and are now officially hitting the road for their first week of behind-the-wheel training. Each student will log 7 hours of driving time and 7 hours of in-car observation.
Interest in this course has been building since last fall, and Continuing Education is excited to offer this opportunity to both teens and adults in our community.

The Work4College Program combines early college exposure, structured employment, and financial support into a single, integrated pathway. Students can begin participating as early as the summer after their sophomore year of high school, gaining meaningful work experience on campus while building a financial foundation for college.
