The Hospital Auxiliary recently presented the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation with a $4,500 donation to support scholarships for students pursuing careers in health sciences.

The gift will fund six $750 scholarships for NTCC students majoring in a health sciences field. The organization, formerly known as the TRMC Auxiliary, has contributed the same amount annually since 2009, providing valuable scholarship assistance to generations of NTCC students.

“We are incredibly grateful for the longstanding support of the Hospital Auxiliary,” said Nita May, NTCC Director of Development. “Their faithful contributions year after year have made a real difference for so many of our students. It is especially meaningful to see an organization so dedicated to serving our community also invest in the next generation of healthcare professionals.”

Auxiliary volunteers have a long tradition of service to the local community, including staffing the hospital gift shop and information desk, assisting in patient waiting areas and supporting community wellness initiatives.

Those who would like to join the Hospital Auxiliary in supporting NTCC students can make a gift online at www.ntcc.edu/givenow or contact May at 903-434-8113 or nmay@ntcc.edu for more information.
