NTCC Rodeo finishes fall season

Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo has concluded the Fall Season for the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Southern Region with a trip to the Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas November 6-8. The Eagle Men’s Team had a great showing in Team Roping and finished in third place as a team.
Herschel’s to host fundraiser benefiting NTCC Library Scholarship
The Northeast Texas Community College Library will host a restaurant fundraiser at Herschel’s Restaurant in Mount Pleasant on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 11–12, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. each evening.
Theatre production of "A 1940s Christmas Carol" starts November 13
The Northeast Texas Community College Theatre Department is getting ready to spread some holiday cheer with its upcoming production of A 1940s Christmas Carol, written and directed by Dr. Page Petrucka, Professor of Theatre. The show runs November 13–15 at 7 p.m., with an additional matinee on Saturday, November 15 at 2 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.
Phi Theta Kappa continues sharing stories through 40th anniversary project
The Northeast Texas Community College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) continues to celebrate storytelling and community connection through its ongoing “40 Years, 40 Stories, 40 Days” project. What began in the spring of 2025 as an ambitious plan to collect and preserve 40 unique stories from NTCC’s past has grown into a meaningful chronicle of the college’s history, people, and spirit.
Biology research continues in Oklahoma
Dr. Chris McAllister, NTCC Biology Professor and three Biology 2289 students, Xenia Esparza, Michelle Mejia, and Estefani Garcia traveled to the Idabel and Broken Bow, Oklahoma, area to continue their research on fish and amphibian parasites.
NTCC Agriculture Department to host Fall Market on November 15
The Northeast Texas Community College Agriculture Department will host a Fall Market on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Elizabeth Hoggatt Watley Agriculture Complex.
The event, presented by NTCC’s Agriculture Club, will feature a variety of local artisans and vendors offering handmade goods, seasonal items, and fall treats. Guests can also enjoy family-friendly activities, warm beverages, and chicken tacos available for purchase.
Industrial Technology Advisory Board Committee met October 30
The Industrial Technology Advisory Board Committee met on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the Industrial Technology Training Center (ITTC).
Industry leaders, educators, and community partners gathered to review program updates, discuss workforce needs, and explore new opportunities to strengthen NTCC’s Industrial Technology programs. The meeting provided valuable feedback to help ensure that students continue to gain the skills most in demand by local employers.
Scare Affair 2025 raises more than $7,000 for NTCC student organizations
Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) hosted its annual Scare Affair on Friday, October 31, and despite earlier weather-related delays and a reduced number of booths, the event was a tremendous success. This year’s celebration raised an impressive $7,348.25 to support NTCC student clubs and organizations.
