Northeast Texas Community College will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The college will resume regular hours on Monday, July 6th. 

Students may still access online courses, register, make payments and manage other college business at myeagle.ntcc.edu. The second 5-week summer session begins Monday, July 13th and students can still sign up for classes.

For many students, earning a college degree is one of the biggest investments they will ever make. A recent economic impact study shows that an NTCC education can pay off for years to come.

According to the study, the average NTCC associate degree graduate can expect to earn about $8,200 more per year than someone with only a high school diploma working in Texas. Over the course of a career, that can add up to more than $344,000 in additional earnings.

Dr. Chris McAllister and NTCC biology students José Fuentes, Cecilia Phan, and Xenia Esparza recently traveled to the upper Ouachita River watershed in Arkansas for a field research expedition June 8-12. They were joined by former NTCC student Michael Rodriguez.

Northeast Texas Community College will be closed Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. We join communities across the nation in recognizing this important day in American history.

While campus offices will be closed, students can still apply for admission, register for classes, and access online services through the NTCC website. Regular business hours will resume Monday, June 22.

The Northeast Texas Community College Police Department recently welcomed its newest officer, Marco Garrett, during a swearing-in ceremony held on campus.

Northeast Texas Community College was well-represented on the state stage last month as Dr. Melissa Fulgham, Department Chair for Humanities and Social Sciences, traveled to the campus of Texas Christian University (TCU) for the Alliance for Texas History Conference. Held from May 27–29, the annual conference brings together leading scholars, researchers, and educators to explore and preserve the complex tapestry of Texas history.

When most people think about Northeast Texas Community College, they think about students earning degrees and job skills. But a recent economic impact study shows NTCC also plays a big role in the local economy.

According to the study, NTCC generated $46.2 million in economic activity during the 2023-24 fiscal year and supported 1,082 jobs across Camp, Morris, and Titus counties. That's equal to one out of every 33 jobs in the region.

After graduating from Mount Pleasant High School, Marifer Zuniga chose to continue her education at Northeast Texas Community College, where she earned her Associate of Science in Business Administration in the spring of 2019. While pursuing her degree, Marifer made the decision to begin her professional career early in order to help support her family.
