My name is Laurencio Velazquez Jr. from Mount Vernon, TX. While I was in MVHS, I was chosen as a recipient of the Mount Vernon Rotary Club Motivational Scholarship to NTCC. I had no idea what I wanted to do but knew I wanted to graduate from college. I am a first-generation college student, and with the generous scholarship, I knew I could accomplish that.

Hunter is a College Navigator dedicated to helping students reach their academic goals. He graduated from Chapel Hill High School in Mount Pleasant and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management from Texas Tech University. After completing his degree, Hunter moved to College Station to work at Texas A&M University. He later returned to East Texas, where he remains an active member of the community.
