Open house & ribbon cutting planned for Health Sciences Simulation Center

Northeast Texas Community College invites you to attend an Open House & Ribbon Cutting event for its new Health Sciences Simulation Center. The come-and-go event will be held on Thursday, Oct. 19th from 4-6 p.m. The Simulation Center is located on the north side of the NTCC campus near the tennis courts (formerly known as the Physical Fitness Annex building). 

Please join us as we showcase this state-of-the-art facility that expands training opportunities for NTCC students and community partners. Light refreshments will be served.

A&M-Texarkana planning Preview Day

Texas A&M University-Texarkana is hosting a Preview Day for prospective students on Thursday, Oct. 19th. This is a great opportunity for NTCC students to learn more about academics/majors, paying for college, campus and residence life and student experiences. There will also be information for parents/guardians. 

The event will feature drawings for $1,000 scholarships, free lunch and a free t-shirt.

NTCC to host collegiate rodeo next weekend

The National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Southern Region will have the third rodeo of the 2023-2024 season in Mount Pleasant, Texas October 20th and 21st.  Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) will be the host of the Rodeo held at the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Association Arena located on Greenhill Road in Mount Pleasant, Texas.

Rodeo seeks participants for Calf Dressing and Costume Contest

The NTCC Rodeo team will be hosting the third NIRA Southern Region Rodeo of the season on Friday, October 20th and Saturday, October 21st. Each night at 7:30pm we will have a calf dressing and costume contest. No cost to enter and each three-man team will compete for gift cards and a NTCC Rodeo Apparel for the Calf Dressing and Costume Contest.

Biology Honors students make first documented findings of Tardigrades in Northeast Texas

According to Tardigrade specialist, Baker University Biologist, Dr. William Miller, it is official.  Students of NTCC’s Dr. Chris McAllister have found the first samples of a microscopic animal, the Tardigrade, in this area of Northeast Texas.
