The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $1,000 scholarship donation from Mr. Vernon Donaldson on behalf of the Sam Donaldson Memorial Scholarship Fund. The gift will provide two $500 scholarships that will be awarded for the Fall 2024 semester. One will be the Phyllis Autry Scholarship for nursing majors and the other will be the Sam Donaldson Memorial Scholarship for industrial technology majors. The Northeast Texas Community College Rodeo team will host the 3rd Annual Alumni Dinner and Fundraiser on Saturday March 2nd at The Pavilion at the Becky and Buddy McCollum Events Center on the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Association Grounds.
The evening will start at 5:30pm with a Social Hour. Texas Road House will be catering the event with the meal to start at 6:30pm and then a live auction and Calcutta Auction to follow the meal. Entertainment will be live music by Monty Tipps and the dance floor will be open.
Students of Honors Northeast working on upcoming film, June 2023
The Northeast Texas Community College Agriculture Department is pleased to partner with Sustainable Agriculture Research & Education (SARE) to offer a Homestead Fair and network event on Saturday, March 9th. The event will be held at NTCC farm (across FM 1735 from the main campus) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It's been a busy week for students who live in NTCC's residential housing! It kicked off with a Super Bowl LVIII party on Sunday. Residents from both East and West housing gathered in the West common space to enjoy pizza and wings and cheer on their favorite teams.
On Wednesday, residents spread some love as they delivered Valentine's cards to residents of Mount Pleasant Assisted Living. They enjoyed spending the day with residents and getting to know them.

Northeast Texas Community College’s very own Jimmy Smith Jr. will kick off the Sounds of Northeast series with a concert at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, Feb. 18th at 2:30 p.m. Smith’s concert will feature covers of many contemporary gospel favorites, as well as his newly-released single Unhchanging Hand. Guest collaborators will include Kristian Luker, Marketta Timmons-Richardson, Courtnee Williams, and Payge Cowans.
