NTCC partners with UT Tyler in Industrial Technology


† † † Northeast Texas Community College and The University of Texas at Tyler Longview University Center celebrated a new partnership Wednesday at the Industrial Technology Training Center (ITTC) in Mount Pleasant. A new 2+2 articulation agreement allows students who complete an Associate of Applied Science degree in Industrial Technology at NTCC to transfer smoothly into UT Tyler?s Industrial Technology bachelor?s degree program.

Adult Education kicks off school year with 50s themed celebration

The Northeast Texas Community College Adult Education Program kicked off the first week of the school year with a 50s themed celebration. The program recently relocated its office from the main NTCC campus to the Community Resource Center (CRC) at 105 N. Riddle, which is the old Mount Pleasant High School building that was constructed in†1927. The staff decided to take students back to the past by dressing up in 50s themed attire, serving popcorn and playing 50s music throughout the week.

NTCC holds Last Chance Registration next week

Northeast Texas Community College will hold Last Chance Registration event August 15-19 in the Student Union Building (SUB). Faculty and staff will be on hand to help students take care of last-minute business before classes begin August 22. Registration will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to noon Friday.

?This is by far our busiest time of the year at NTCC. We have a lot of students who need to see advisors, register for classes and finish up the financial aid process,? Dr.

Alpha Mu Chi attends Texas Honors Institute

Alpha Mu Chi, the Northeast Texas Community College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, recently returned from the Texas Honors Institute, held at Stephen F. Austin State University. The Honors Institute is a chance for Phi Theta Kappa members from throughout the Texas Region to engage in intellectual discourse about this year's Honors Study Topic "How the World Works: Global Perspectives.?†
