NTCC closed July 4
Northeast Texas Community College will be closed Monday, July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. We will resume regular business hours Tuesday, July 5. In case of an emergency on campus during a closure, please call security at 903-434-8127.
Paula Wilhite named June Caught In Action recipient
Congratulations to Paula Wilhite, the June recipient of NTCC's Wellness Caught in Action honor! She recently completed the Dallas Multiple Myeloma 5K with her grandson as a 10-year survivor.

Perryman gives to NTCC Work Scholarship Program
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $1,500 gift from Richard Perryman to support the NTCC Work Scholarship Program. Perryman (right) is pictured presenting the gift to Dr. Jonathan McCullough, NTCC Vice President for Advancement. The NTCC Work Scholarship Program gives students the opportunity to work during the summer to earn funds to pay for college for the upcoming year. The goal of the program is to foster a strong work ethic while allowing students to avoid student debt.
New student orientation sessions planned for July
Northeast Texas Community College is gearing up to host New Adventures Start Here New Student Orientation sessions for students entering college for the first time this fall.
Orientation is required for all new students, even if they previously completed dual credit classes in high school. Sessions begin at 8 a.m. in the Whatley Center and last until approximately 3 p.m.
June 9 construction update
? Phase 2 of the construction project is underway! There are significant closures around the interior of the campus (see map below for specifics).
? The front entrance to the Administration Building is closed. The only access is via the new sidewalk to the back entrance. All traffic should enter through this door.†
iCan Kids Discovery College underway
Isabel Gonzales of Mount Pleasant participates in the Robotics class at the Northeast Texas Community College iCan Kids Discovery College at the Hanson-Sewell Center in Pittsburg. She is a participant in the first session of the program, which runs June 6-16. There is still time to register for the second session of the iCan Kids Discovery College, which will be held at the Elizabeth H. Whatley Agriculture Center across the main NTCC campus June 20-30. The program is for kids ages 8-15 and sessions range from $59-$99 each.
