Dr. Matthew Lampert, NTCC Professor of Philosophy, recently participated in The Teaching Hub at the 2024 Central Division Meeting of the American Philosophical Association in New Orleans. Lampert was invited to serve as a panelist in a discussions session called “Teaching Philosophy at Community Colleges.” He is pictured with other panelists in the session (from left): Guy Crain, Rose State College, Jason Flato, Georgia State University – Perimeter College, Lampert, and Rebeka Ferreira, Green River College.

The Teaching Hub is a series of interactive workshops and open conversations designed specifically for philosophers and created to celebrate teaching within the context of the APA divisional meetings. Jointly organized by the APA Committee on the Teaching of Philosophy (CTP) and the American Association of Philosophy Teachers (AAPT), the Teaching Hub aims to offer a range of high-quality and inclusive development opportunities that address the teaching of philosophy at all levels, pre-college through graduate school.

This is a great example of how NTCC faculty are working hard to empower students to succeed!
