The Whatley Center at Northeast Texas Community College will host Tapestry: The Carole King Songbook starring Suzanne O. Davis on its stage Saturday, October 23 at 7:30 p.m. The performance is sponsored by Kaye and J.T. Brison.
Tapestry is the premier musical tribute to Carole King. This show recreates the sound and vibe of a 1970’s Carole King concert experience following her legendary album, Tapestry. You will be transported back to the iconic image of her multi-million selling album of 1971.
“We were so disappointed when we had to postpone Tapestry last year due to COVID-19. It may be late, but this show is well worth the wait,” Carolyn Franks, Director of the Whatley Center, said.
Those who held Whatley season tickets for 2019-2020 already have seats reserved for the show. However, additional seats are still available for purchase for those who would like to attend. Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for students. They are available online at www.whatleycenter.com or by calling the Whatley Center Box Office at 903-434-8181.
The event will be held the same night as NTCC’s annual Scare Affair, so concert patrons are encouraged to use the main campus entrance and park in the area between the Whatley Center and the athletic fields.
