Nomination from Lisa York:

I’d like to recognize Jimmy Smith and Kenzie Beasley for going above and beyond to provide excellent customer service to our students.

It’s been said, that you never get a second chance to make a good first impression.  Jimmy and Kenzie are perfect examples of a good first impression.

As you know, Jimmy never meets a stranger and is always eager to assist anyone on our campus or beyond. As our Workforce Developer,  Jimmy always takes the time to make sure the students get what they need and many times, he is seen running across campus to get to a student that needs him or just wants to ask him some questions about a program.  Many times, students come by just to shake his hand and thank him for all that he has done for them.   Jimmy is very popular with students and staff alike and he exemplifies “exceptional customer service” in every sense of the word and is so incredibly valuable to the Continuing Education and Corporate Training department.

Kenzie Beasley is our Continuing Education Specialist and is the front line of CE/CT.  She is doing an absolutely fantastic job.  Kenzie is very personable and so easy to talk to.  Many times, the students that come into the student services building aren’t always CE students, but she always notices if they look unsure about where to go or what to do upon entering the doors.  She goes out of her way to make sure the students are acknowledged, as well as taken care of and leave with their questions answered.   Kenzie always rises to any challenge that is asked of her.  She has only been with CE since October, but she has done a great job of learning our processes and has really immersed herself into the “world of CE/CT” and is so amazing with our students and staff.  Her meticulous work on several major projects in CE/CT has been so critical to the success of them.  We are so thankful and fortunate to have Kenzie.

Jimmy and Kenzie are such valuable assets to Continuing Education and Corporate Training and to NTCC as ambassadors of the college.  They are both so creative, thoughtful, talented, and always surpass what’s asked of them.

Regards,

Lisa
