NTCC is pleased to announce that the Human Resources staff has been nominated for the final Summer Shout Out of 2021. Amy Adkins, Melissa Dickeson, Maria Gonzalez and Mario Razo work hard to do payroll, manage employee benefits and so much more.

Melissa could easily send out generic emails with the dates of open enrollment or basic changes, but she goes well above and beyond to make sure the campus is educated on all benefit changes and exactly how we need to make benefit elections. If her emails were not so thorough, I know for one, I would be lost. She takes the time to include links and specific information for us that is extremely helpful. Undoubtedly, she does the research for us and does a fantastic job of communicating it to the campus. I really appreciate the extra time she puts into sending out this important information.

I would like to recognize Maria Razo for her outstanding attitude each and every day. She is always very pleasant and willing to assist others even when things get hectic around Human Resources. She is always very patient when working with new employees. She goes above and beyond to explain the paperwork that needs to be completed. It’s very refreshing to someone who has such a positive outlook and a willingness to assist those around her.

I want to recognize Maria Gonzalez for going above and beyond in assisting Human Resources while we were short staffed. Maria basically stepped in and very quickly learned several critical tasks that needed to be done. She never became frustrated or discouraged, but took the time to learn and ask questions in order to succeed. I appreciate her dedication to the HR team and the support that she provided in our time of need. Keep up the good work Maria!

Ms. Adkins is always willing to help employees with various issues when they arise. Before Ms. Adkins tenure, we felt like we were not heard. She quickly responds to important concerns with fairness and appropriate action. She takes time to listen to the employee needs and assists them in finding a solution.
