Northeast Texas Community College is pleased to announce that it is now offering a Professional Driving Academy (CDL training) through the department of Continuing Education and Corporate Training. New classes will begin September 8, October 5 and November 2.
The four-week professional driving academy includes 160 hours of training and the cost includes the DOT physical, drug screen, MVR and CDL permit. Students spend 50 hours in the classroom and 110 hours on the road driving. The cost is $4,191 and limited financial aid may be available.
“We are very excited about our new CDL training program. Professional drivers are in high demand and this is a great way for people to maximize their earning potential in a very short period of time,” Jimmy Smith, NTCC Workforce Developer, said. “If you’ve ever considered getting your CDL, this is the time to do it.”
