The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of board member Jerry Webster Tuesday evening at the regular December meeting. Webster, who served in Place I since 2013, announced his retirement from the board in November.
“Mr. Webster has been a huge asset to our Board these last five years and we are thankful for his leadership. The college passed a successful bond election and went through a complete renovation during his tenure, and his knowledge of banking and finance proved invaluable for those endeavors,” Dr. Ron Clinton, NTCC President, said. “We wish he and his family the very best in retirement.”
Webster retired from his position as Market President at Pilgrim Bank earlier this year. He and his wife are relocating to Oklahoma, where they are from originally. Clinton presented Webster with a token of appreciation at NTCC’s December Commencement ceremony on December 14 (pictured).
The Board of Trustees will appoint a new member to fill Place I until the next election in 2020.
