Kenneth Irizarry, P.E.,†Professor of Engineering, recently spoke to students attending the monthly Math/Science Student Organization.† In his presentation entitled ?Environmental Engineering?, he talked about the required credentials, industry needs, and example projects for a career in this field of engineering.
Mr. Irizarry holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and a M.S. in Engineering from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.† He has over 20 years of engineering experience.††In his first year at NTCC, he teaches the following engineering courses:† Engineering Graphics I (ENGR 1304) , Statics (ENGR 2301), Dynamics (ENGR 2302), and Intro to Engineering (ENGR 1201). †He hopes to add Electrical Circuits I (ENGR 2405) and Introduction to Digital Systems (ENGR 2406) to his regular schedule with the expected increase the number of electrical engineering majors. †Dr. Pete Linkins, Retired Dean of the STEM College at Texas A&M University-Texarkana said, ?Irizarry†brought strong and practical ?hands on experience? in the professional engineering field in our region and a very real understanding of our regional students? academic needs?.
