Fast Track Fire Academy accepting applications

† † Northeast Texas Community College is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for its new Fast Track Firefighter Academy. The first class begins July 1 and runs through December 19. Students will meet†Monday†throughThursday†evenings at the Central Fire Station in Mount Pleasant and alternating Saturdays.†


† † The course of study will include†Firefighter I, Firefighter II, HazMat Awareness and HazMat Operations.†Students may enroll in one or all of the classes, depending on the certifications they need to complete. Firefighter†I†and II are $610 per course and Hazmat Awareness and HazMat Operations are $100 per course.†Other program costs include PPE, uniforms, books, and physical.


† † "We are excited to offer the Fast Track Firefighter Academy this year. This is a great opportunity for those interested in working as a professional firefighter and also for volunteers who want to take their training to the next level," Lisa York, NTCC Director of Continuing Education, said.†


† † Flexible payment plans are available and limited financial aid is available for qualifying individuals.
