The sixth annual Northeast Texas Community College McGraw-Hill poster contest will be held on†Friday, April 26 at 9:30 a.m. in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The contest is open to all NTCC and area high school students.†

Those who wish to enter should submit a 75+ word abstract to Dr. Andrew Yox, NTCC Honors Director, by April 24. Abstracts should note the student's idea and how it will be presented.†Winners will exhibit original ideas that they have developed.† The posters should be revelatory rather than expository: students should exhibit the results of their research rather than reflect knowledge that is already in the public domain.

Contest prizes are: †$400 and a McGraw-Hill Textbook coupon for an additional $100 for first place, $300 for second place, $200 for third place, and $100 for fourth place.

Area leaders will serve as contest judges. The general public is invited to attend the event and question students about their research. NTCC Honors thanks†Amy Errthum, with†McGraw-Hill, for all her work in maintaining McGraw-Hill?s generous support of this tradition.
