Communities In Schools (CIS) brought about 240 high school students to the Northeast Texas Community College campus on March 21†for CAPPED (Certificate and Professional Programs Exploration Day).†

CAPPED @ NTCC †is a program designed to bring high school students to NTCC to learn about programs available to expedite their entry into professional careers in the workplace.† It also allows NTCC faculty to showcase their programs.

Students who attend CAPPED are area high school seniors who currently have no plans for higher education.†The goal is to show students that a college education doesn?t always require four or more years of school, and that NTCC has a great variety of programs and possibilities to fit their needs.
