Northeast Texas Community College recently inducted 11 new members into Psi Beta, the national honor society in psychology for students at two-year colleges.
Inductees pictured above from left are: Susan Saunders of Pittsburg; Molly Corres of New Boston; Florence Parker of Big Sandy; Jennifer Hargrave of Daingerfield; Dawn Cunningham of Pittsburg; Cody McEntire of Omaha; Bree Ann McAdams of Pittsburg; Brandy Schelsteder of Pittsburg; Victoria Watts of Big Sandy and April Dodson of Gilmer. Not pictured was Daphne Short of Mount Vernon.
Psi Beta chapters sponsor programs, activities, and participation in community service projects along with opportunities topresent research papers at regional meetings, attend national meetings, and compete for national awards. Students are chosen for membership based on their outstanding overall scholarship and their scholarship in the field of psychology. Psi Beta is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychological Society.
