Northeast Texas Community College Eagles softball and baseball fans will have a new way to keep up with their favorite team in 2012, as NTCC will be using the stat keeping software Gamechanger to provide live scoring during all games.

This program will allow NTCC fans to keep up with all of the action, even if they can?t make it out to the ballpark. Gamechanger?s live play-by-play will allow parents to keep up with their player?s performance even as they are at the plate, on the mound or in the field.

?This is great new way for everyone to be able to keep up with how we are doing even if they can?t come see us play,? NTCC head baseball coach and Athletic Director Josh Stewart said. ?We know that these kid?s parents can?t make it out to every game we play. Now they don?t have to.?

Visitors to the school?s athletic website (www.ntcceagles.com) may have already noticed the new scoreboards for both baseball and softball. When the season gets underway next week, fans will be able to click on the scoreboard to get live, pitch-by-pitch info on NTCC games as they happen.

?We really think this will help everyone be able to stay up to date with how we are doing,? head softball coach Jay Terry said. ?It?s the next best thing to being at all of the games.?

Keeping up with the Eagles will be easy for fans. Gamechanger only requires that people register as fans of the teams that they want to follow before they can receive the live pitch-by-pitch account of the game. Eagles fans can register by clicking on the scoreboard on the athletic website.

Another great feature allows parents and fans to sign up for SMS and e-mail alerts every time the player of their choice comes to bat or makes a key play.

Fans who have questions about this new feature or need helping signing up may contact NTCC Sports Information Director Jeremy Weber at 903-434-8321 or jeremy.weber@ntcc.edu.
