EXPERIENCE AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) instructor teaches courses in all levels of the EMS field. The EMS Instructor is assigned to a class or group of students, and lectures and presents materials on a particular topic or subject matter that they are certified or experienced in teaching.

  • Licensed or Certified Paramedic with the Texas Department of State Services (required)

DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES

  • Implements and assists in evaluating the teaching learning process in the clinical setting, campus lab (skills labs), and classroom.
  • Assist in facilitating clinical experiences for students.
  • Provide clinical instruction to student groups in an acute care setting. 
  • Prepare and conduct select classroom learning experiences in area of expertise.
  • Assist with skills learning and validation stations.
