Adjunct Faculty Education Frameworks

Classification: Faculty
Status: Part Time
Minimum Salary: Starting at $566 per course or $56 per student

Description of Job Duties:

  • Provide instruction in face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses modalities as needed
  • Communicate regularly with students, staff, and administrators regarding student progress
  • Use text messaging and other social media platforms to contact students
  • Encourage and advocate for students
  • Consistently encourage persistence, career exploration, transfer, and baccalaureate goal
  • Maintain clearly communicated and comprehensive notes and data on students in electronic files
  • Provide hands-on guidance, feedback, and support to students; providing positive reinforcement and encouragement

Experience and Other Qualifications Required:

  • Requires a Master's degree in a related, approved field
  • Previous experience providing classroom instruction preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Blackboard learning platform a plus
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment and experience working effectively with culturally, ethnically, and linguistically diverse students, faculty/staff, communities, and organizations
  • Strong follow-up and organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and self-motivated
  • Ability to relate well with other faculty/staff/administrators
  • Computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite applications
