AEP SWEPCO contributes to Campaign for the Whatley
Jennifer Harland, Manager Of External Affairs, Northeast Texas and Southwest Arkansas, AEP Southwestern Electric Power Company, recently presented a $1,000 check to Dr. Jonathan McCullough, Vice President for Advancement, Northeast Texas Community College. The funds will be used to benefit the Final Curtain Call portion if the NTCC Foundation's Campaign for the Whatley. Daingerfield Country Club wins NTCC Foundation golf tourney
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently held its annual golf tournament at Princedale Country Club in Pittsburg. This was the 26th†consecutive year of the tournament. Participating teams included: AEP/Swepco, American National Bank, Daingerfield Country Club, Bowie-Cass, Cypress Bank, Guaranty Bond Bank, Luminant, Northeast Texas Credit Union, Texas Heritage National Bank, and an NTCC team sponsored by East Texas Wealth Planning Advisors.
Mary Jane Coker Memorial Scholarship established at NTCC
Bill and Rosalie Chambers recently established a Perpetual scholarship at Northeast Texas Community College in memory of Mary Jane Coker. The Mary Jane Coker Memorial Scholarship will be for available for students from Titus county majoring in general academic studies. Wilson gives $10,000 to fund NTCC scholarship
Mr. Gilbert Wilson (left), of Pittsburg, recently gave $10,000 to the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation. Dr. Jonathan McCullough (right), NTCC Vice President for Advancement, is pictured receiving the donation. The gift will fund the Wilson Family Scholarship, which is named in memory of Mr. Wilson's parents. The perpetual scholarship will provide deserving NTCC students with one $500 scholarship each year. Pleasant Sams give annual scholarship
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $500 scholarship from the Pleasant Sams, the Mount Pleasant Chapter of the Good Sam Club of America. International Sulphur gives NTCC transfer scholarships

Reception planned to honor Elizabeth Whatley
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation invites the public to attend a reception in honor of Elizabeth Whatley on Tuesday, April 30 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Whatley is being presented with the Distinguished Benefactor Award for her generosity and support of NTCC over the years. Hors d'oevres will be served and a short presentation will begin at 5 p.m.
Whatley and her late husband, James, have contributed more than $2.6 million to NTCC since classes began in 1985.

Television's hit show†Duck Dynasty†is headed to Northeast Texas Community College. Phil Robertson, the Duck Commander himself, and his youngest son, Jep,†will speak on the NTCC campus on Saturday, April 6. The event will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
This event is hosted by the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation and will take place at NTCC?s Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets will go on sale on Monday, Feb. 25.†All tickets are $20 and include a meal and admission to hear Phil and Jep speak.
Carroll Shelby Foundation gives $25,000 for NTCC scholarships
The Carroll Shelby Foundation recently gave $25,000 to the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation. These funds will provide scholarships to students enrolled in the NTCC Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Department.
