Honors Northeast, the honors program at Northeast Texas Community College, is currently seeking applications for the 2017-2018 school year. The priority deadline is March 1 and students may apply online at ntcc.edu/honors or contact Dr. Andrew Yox, Honors Director, for more information at ayox@ntcc.edu.

Since 2010, the scholars of Honors Northeast have won 29 national awards, including seven exclusive Jack-Kent-Cooke-foundation, full-ride transfers.†Honors Northeast scholarships continue to help students cover the costs to attend NTCC, while focusing on their studies and preparing for the next level.

Top-ten-percent high school seniors and high-achieving NTCC students who plan to attend in 2017-2018 are encouraged to attend. The Honors Committee of Northeast Texas Community College determines the scholarship levels of the applicants, and who is admitted.

Entering honors at NTCC according to Honors Student Council President, William Jones, is like ?opening a door of opportunity.? Honors has averaged nine trips per year, all of them free for participating students, and has regularly competed successfully with university and college honors programs, at both the regional and national levels.†There are other amenities as well, all designed to encourage student achievement.
