Theatre Northeast presents Sylvia

† † †Theatre Northeast, the student theatre group of Northeast Texas Community College, is set to open the acclaimed award-winning romantic comedy†Sylvia, by A.R. Gurney, July 12-14 at 7:30 p.m. and July 15 at 2:05 p.m. in the Studio Theatre of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.††Sylvia is a witty and intelligent comedy about a man, a woman and a lovable pooch, who threatens to put their marriage in the doghouse!



Jerald and Mary Lou Mowery give $5,000 for Whatley Campaign



Jerald and Mary Lou Mowery of Mount Vernon recently pledged $5,000 to benefit the Northeast Texas Community College Campaign for the Whatley. Euterpean Club supports NTCC Campaign for the Whatley

Campaign for the Whatley receives $50,000

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $50,000 check from the Burt and Nancy Marans Estate. This gift will contribute to The Campaign for the Whatley. It will be used to help fund the renovation of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at NTCC. Pianist Thomas Pandolfi to perform at Whatley Center



The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College will host virtuoso pianist Thomas Pandolfi on January 26 at 7:30 p.m.

The concert is entitled "Into the Night With Gershwin" and will feature his "Concerto in F" and "Rhapsody in Blue." Pandolfi will also perform his own song medley improvisation and two Etudes based on popular Gershwin songs by Earl Wild.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for students. The event is sponsored by Texas Heritage National Bank.

Bill Price commits $5,000 to the Campaign for the Whatley

Bill Price of Mount Pleasant recently committed $5,000 to benefit the Northeast Texas Community College†Campaign for the Whatley. His donation will be used to help renovate the 20-year-old Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The goal for the campaign is to raise $750,000 over the next three years. Theatre Northeast presents children's play

Theatre Northeast, the student theatre group at Northeast Texas Community College, will present the classic children's Christmas comedy†The Best Christmas Pageant Ever December 3 and 4 at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.

An evening performance will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. and there will be a 2:05 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Dec. 4.†Ticket prices are $5 for Adults, $3 for ages 17 and under, Sr. Citizens, NTCC Faculty and free for NTCC students with current ID.
